The present invention relates to a mobile device which provides an iris authentication function and an iris mousse function. The mobile device according to the present invention exhibits the following features. (1) Before the mobile device is used or before a specific application is executed, it is possible to identify an authorized user registered to use the mobile device or the specific application (iris authentication function), thereby improving security of the mobile device. (2) Since a movement of a display object being currently displayed can be controlled by using a movement of an iris, an operation can be performed without using hands (iris mouse function), thereby providing operation convenience. (3) It is sanitary because a user can operate the mobile device without directly touching an operation unit or a display unit of the mobile device. (4) A user who is handicapped in a part of a body, including a hand, can operate a specific function of the mobile device by using his or her iris, thereby providing operation convenience to the handicapped person. (5) It is possible to restrain ordinary people, such as young people, from using harmful applications (for example, games, applications containing sexually suggestive content, or the like). The purpose of the present invention is to provide useful functions including a security function and a control function by using an iris authentication function realized in a mobile device. The mobile device having an iris authentication function and an iris mouse function comprises: a display unit which visually displays a display object; a photographing unit which is disposed to face an eye of a user who gazes at the display unit; an operation unit which receives an operation of the user; and a control unit which executes an iris authentication function of extracting an iris image including an iris of the user from an image captured by the photographing unit and comparing the extracted iris image with a preregistered iris template, executes a first application when the iris image matches the iris template, and when a selection of the iris mouse function is received from the user through the operation unit, moves a display position of a display object included in a second application within the display unit in response to a movement of an iris identified based on the image captured by the photographing unit. |
