PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seawater desalination plant reducing power cost by following demand fluctuation or power fluctuation using a surplus reverse osmosis membrane module.SOLUTION: A seawater desalination plant comprises a plurality of pumps 7 connected in parallel, a plurality of reverse osmosis membrane modules 1 connected in parallel, a water pipe 201 joining flows of seawater discharged from the plurality of pumps 7 to supply it to each of the reverse osmosis membrane modules 1, and a plurality of pressure recovery parts 3 recovering pressure from concentrated water treated by and discharged from the reverse osmosis membrane modules 1. The pressure recovery part 3 is allocated to each of the pumps 7 to recover pressure in accordance with the operation of each pump 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
