PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet from being damaged by a kick-out disc.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: A sheet discharge apparatus comprises: a conveyance roller pair for conveying a sheet; a discharge roller pair 123 for discharging the sheet, which is disposed on the downstream side in a sheet conveying direction of the conveyance roller pair, and has a sheet conveying speed faster than the conveyance roller pair; and kick-out rollers 132 which can come into contact with and separate from a drive roller 130 of the discharge roller pair 123, and apply discharge conveying force to the sheet in a press-contact state. The kick-out rollers 132 can rotate freely by being separated from the drive roller 130 of the discharge roller pari 123 by the sheet conveyed between the conveyance roller pair and the discharge roller pair 123. Thus, kick-out discs 136 of the kick-out rollers 132 rotate following the sheet and hardly damage the sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
