PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral vascular resistance estimation method that can improve estimate accuracy.SOLUTION: A peripheral vascular resistance estimation method is provided for estimating a peripheral vascular resistance by using an electrical circuit model. In the peripheral vascular resistance estimation method: a value of a radius artery pressure vby the calculation using an equation of the electrical circuit model is compared with a value of a radial artery pressure vobtained by the measurement while values of an attenuation constant α, an angular frequency ω, an amplitude coefficient B, and a time coefficient tin the equation are changed; and optimal solutions of the attenuation constant α, the angular frequency ω, the amplitude coefficient B and the time coefficient tfor minimizing an average mean square error between the value vof the radial artery pressure obtained by the calculation and the value vof the radial artery pressure obtained by the measurement are determined from the comparison, wherein the processing for (1) performing multiple times of search about each of α, ω, B, and t, (2) using several sampling values in the search of each time, and (3) narrowing a searching area in the next search more than the last search is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
