The present invention relates to a device for preventing aspiration of dysphagia patients by enabling the patients with dysphagia caused by various types of damage to maintain an appropriate posture and an operating method thereof. The device includes: a back support unit worn on the back of a patient to fix the body of the patient; a head support unit which is formed on top of the back support unit and worn on the head of the patient to secure the head; a height adjusting unit which is installed between the back support unit and the head support unit to adjust the height of the head support unit to match the height of the patient′s head; and an angle adjusting unit which is rotatably installed between the back support unit and the head support unit to adjust the angle of the head support unit to match the neck angle ensuring that the patient swallows safely.
