The present invention relates to a power generation apparatus. A power generation apparatus according to embodiments of the present invention generates electricity by oceanic currents. The power generation apparatus includes a power generation unit. The power generation unit includes a rotation member and a power generation motor, and the rotation member includes a wheel, a belt and a blade. The belt is provided to surround a plurality of wheels, and the blade is arranged along a circumferential direction on a side of the belt. The blade is moved by the oceanic currents, by moving between a first position and a second position depending on a direction of the oceanic currents. The belt is rotated depending on the movement of the blade, and the wheel is rotated depending on the rotation of the belt. Thus, rotary force is delivered to the power generation motor. The power generation motor generates the electricity using the delivered rotary force. |
