PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, e.g., an infrared radiating element which can sufficiently narrow the band of the radiation spectrum and significantly contribute to power saving.SOLUTION: An infrared radiating element comprises: a heat generator; a radiator with a periodic microstructure in a face opposite to the heat generator side; a planarization layer with a flat face opposite to the radiator side; and a bandpass filter formed on the planarization layer; in this order.
