摘要 According to the present invention, a catalyst converter manufacturing method comprises: a first step of measuring an outer diameter of a catalyst; a second step of measuring a weight of a mat in a shape of a sheet cut in accordance with a predetermined specification; a third step of wrapping the mat on an outer peripheral surface of the catalyst by arranging the catalyst on an upper surface of the mat; a fourth step of measuring an inner diameter of a can pipe, inserting the catalyst wrapped with the mat into the can pipe; and a fifth step of pressing and downsizing the can pipe to arrange a gap bulk density (GBD) value within a reference range after calculating a density of the mat and the bulk of the gap between the catalyst and the can pipe. The catalyst converter manufacturing method is able to appropriately be used to adjust a downsizing ratio in the process of downsizing the can pipe even when the supplied mat has uneven density or there is a difference between the outer diameter of the catalyst and the inner diameter of the can pipe. Accordingly, the present invention is able to continuously maintain the GBD value of a catalyst converter.
