According to various embodiments of the invention, a method and a device for storing, processing, and reconstructing a full resolution image from a sub-band encoded image are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for rendering a high resolution image based on sub-band encoded data of an image comprises: a step of reducing a selected image; a step of generating a reduced image with a time stamp; a step of extracting sub-band information related to the image selected on a specific time point; a step of compressing the reduced image and the sub-band information; and a step of decompressing the sub-band information and forming combination with an extrapolated reduced image to reconstruct the high resolution image.
