Provided is a new bag making and packaging machine capable of packaging into a bag with a shorter length than conventional ones without increasing the load on a motor. A bag making and packaging machine (1) which laterally seals a bag formed at the lower end of a tubular packaging material (T) by causing a pair of sealing jaws (71, 71) disposed to face each other with a conveyance path for the tubular packaging material (T) interposed therebetween to perform a D-shaped motion while continuously conveying the tubular packaging material (T), wherein the conveyance speed of the tubular packaging material (T) at the time of lateral sealing is set higher than the conveyance speed at times other than the time of lateral sealing. |
