PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle display device and an instrument panel, which allow a driver to feel an integral sense between operation information to be displayed and the vehicle.SOLUTION: A display unit 32 is assembled into the casing surface of an instrument panel 20 of a vehicle. The display unit 32 comprises: a mount substrate 63 arrayed with a plurality of LED light sources 65 along the casing surface of the instrument panel 20; and a surface panel 70 disposed to cover the display surface of that mount substrate 63 for guiding the light emitted from an LED light source 65, to the occupant seat side in the cabin. The inner wall part of a hole 66 formed in the mount substrate 63 also guides the light emitted from the LED light source 65, to the passenger seat side of the cabin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
