PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phased array antenna which can change the frequency of transmit signals while keeping the layout of elements fixed.SOLUTION: A phased array antenna comprises: antenna elements. The antenna elements each include a ferrite substrate, a metal body and a flat plate electromagnet. The ferrite substrate is changed in magnetic permeability by generation of a magnetic field. The metal body is disposed on one face of the ferrite substrate. The flat plate electromagnet is disposed on the other face of the ferrite substrate, which is opposite to the one face where the metal body is disposed, and generates the magnetic field according to a DC current supplied to itself. The antenna elements are arrayed at intervals depending on of preset frequencies, the maximum frequency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
