PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in an initialization process for an image forming device, it takes time for the device to be started because a judgement for initialization of an engine portion whose output is controlled is performed by a controller of the engine portion.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: image forming means that forms an image on a sheet; and start control means that control power supply to printer control means which controls driving of the image forming means. The start control means, in a power-saving state where power supply to the image forming means and the printer control means are restricted, performs control, on the basis of reception of uprising request data from an external device, so that power is supplied to the printer control means and the image forming means, and instructs the printer control means to execute processing for initialization of the image forming means. The printer control means makes, on the basis of the instruction, the image forming means to execute the processing for initialization.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
