PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method and communication system for easily introducing safe communication between a client device and a server.SOLUTION: A communication method for a client device 3 in an external network 2 connecting, through a relay server 6, with an internal server 5 in an internal network 4 separated from the external network includes: a step of the client device designating the relay server when connection with the internal server is requested from the client device; a step of the client device transmitting a connection request to the relay server; and a step of the relay server establishing communication with the internal server according to the connection request from the client device.
