PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transcode method and device by which, even for a portion where transcode processing is not completed in a conversion source video file, video contents can be confirmed.SOLUTION: When generating a digest video file, partial frames are successively selected from the conversion source video file frame by frame, format conversion processing is performed thereon, and the frames are additionally written at the end of the digest video file. Information of the frames is recorded in a digest management information storage part. When generating a converted video file, all frames of the conversion source video file are successively selected frame by frame and by referring to the digest management information storage part, the presence/absence of the record is confirmed and if present, the corresponding frame in the digest video file is additionally written at the end of the converted video file. If not, format conversion processing is performed on the selected frame and the frame is additionally written at the end of the converted video file.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
