PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the elastic restitutive force of a heating member while preventing the rise of temperature at a paper non-passing region of the heating member from rising higher than the temperature of a paper passing region during a fixation operation in comparison to the case in which the heating member does not include a thermal conductive layer or a thermal conductive material higher in thermal conductivity than a metal layer.SOLUTION: A fixation unit includes: an endless fixation belt; a heat generation layer 811; an insulation layer 812; a support metal layer 813 which is laminated on the insulation layer 812, is higher in rigidity than the insulation layer 812, and causes elastic restitutive force to occur; a thermal diffusion metal layer 814 which is laminated on the insulation layer 812, is lower in rigidity than the support metal layer 813, and is high in thermal conductivity than the insulation layer 812 and the support metal layer 813; and a heater 81 that is supported at one end in the peripheral direction of a fixation belt, elastically deforms by being pressed by the inner peripheral surface of the fixation belt, and heats the fixation belt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
