PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detection device and an emergency notification device for a vehicle, which allow for accurate detection of a vehicle condition upon collision.SOLUTION: A pair of pillar acceleration sensors 2a, 2b for detecting forward-and-backward acceleration Gx and lateral acceleration Gy are mounted on the left and right front pillars of a vehicle. Meanwhile, the front part, center pillar, door, locker, and so on are not provided with an acceleration sensor. The collision determination unit 3b of a controller 3 detects the collision of the vehicle on the basis of values detected by a floor acceleration sensor 3a and pillar acceleration sensors 2a, 2b, and actuates an air bag device 4. The condition-information creating block 3k of the controller 3 creates vehicle condition information on the basis of values detected by the pillar acceleration sensors 2a, 2b in the event of a collision. A communication unit 5 transmits a transmission signal including condition information created by the condition-information creating block 3k, to a rescue center 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
