The purpose of the present invention, with respect to a method for producing a hot-dip metal-plated steel strip in which a gas wiping nozzle is used to control a plated weight, is to provide the following: a continuous hot-dip metal plating method according to which the occurrence of plating surface defects is suppressed and high-quality hot-dip metal-plated steel strip can be produced more inexpensively and stably; a hot-dip zinc-plated steel strip; and continuous hot-dip metal plating equipment. The present invention is a continuous hot-dip metal plating method in which a steel strip is continuously immersed in a hot-dip metal plating bath and a gas is blown from a gas wiping nozzle onto the steel strip immediately after being pulled out from the hot-dip metal plating bath so as to control a plated weight, wherein the temperature T of a wiping gas sprayed from the gas wiping nozzle is controlled in accordance with a value D/B representing the ratio of a distance D between a gas wiping nozzle distal end and the steel strip, and a gas wiping nozzle gap B.
