PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing nanofiber capable of maintaining a Taylor cone stably to produce nanofiber from a solution obtained by dissolving a cellulosic polymer in a solvent, and to provide a method for producing a nonwoven fabric.SOLUTION: A solution 25 obtained by dissolving a cellulosic polymer in a solvent is discharged from a tip of a nozzle 13. An electric voltage is applied to the solution 25 and a collector 50 to form a spinning jet 45 toward the collector 50 to make nanofiber 46. By a liquid feeding pipe 160, a coating liquid 161 is discharged from a liquid feeding slit between the liquid feeding pipe and the nozzle 13 at a flow rate of 5% or more and 20% or less of that of the solution 25 to cover the periphery of the solution 25 discharged from a tip opening. The coating liquid 161 contains a component common to the solvent of the solution 25 and has a lower concentration of the cellulosic polymer than the solution 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
