The invention relates to a portal device (1, 40) for shielding the interior of a system housing for a processing system during processing of a continuously running material strand (50), the portal device being intended for mounting in the region of inlet and outlet openings of the system housing (60), and having an upper crossbeam (2), side beams (3, 4) adjoining the two ends of the upper crossbeam so as to form a U-shape, and a table beam (5) connecting the lower, free ends of the side beams (3, 4) and adapted as a support for the material strand (50). A vertically movable vertical slotted guide (21) furnished with a horizontally running lower edge (22) is guided on the upper crossbeam (2), and horizontally movable horizontal slotted guides (31, 41) are guided on the side beams (3, 4), the horizontal slotted guides (31, 41) being mounted movably, independently of the vertical slotted guide (21). |
