PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of displaying an image even under interlocking.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device using together laser light and spontaneous emission light as a light source, comprises: a laser light source (namely, a red LD module 13) for outputting laser light; a spontaneous emission light source (namely, a green LED module 14 and a blue LED module 15) for outputting spontaneous emission light; and a housing 30 (namely, a housing front part 30a and a housing rear part 30b) for surrounding the laser light source and the spontaneous emission light source. The housing can be opened/closed and further includes a housing opening/closing detection part (namely, a housing opening/closing detection switch 34) for detecting the opened/closed state of the housing 30. The housing opening/closing detection part stops the drive of the laser light source while detecting the housing 30 opened. |
