Provided is a drive device for a movable body for a vehicle seat, the drive device being configured in such a manner that the movable body is prevented from being rapidly moved by the pressing force of a spring means from an initial position toward a forward-located use region and so that the forward movement of the movable body in the use region does not become unsmooth. A drive device for a movable body for a vehicle seat comprises: a first rotational link (61) which can rotate about a rotation shaft (63); a second rotational link (58) which can rotate about a rotation shaft (59) and which connects to a spring means (73); an engagement hole (62) which is provided in one of the first rotational link and the second rotational link; and an engagement member (60) which is provided to the other of the first rotational link and the second rotational link, engages with the engagement hole in a relatively movable manner, and changes the rotational torque of the first rotational link when the distance of the one rotational link (61) to the rotation shaft (63) changes gradually as the movable body (32) moves from the initial position toward the front end position of the use region. |
