PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform fault relief by efficiently sharing a reserve reproduction relay device between a plurality of active optical channels in an optical network where the fault relief is performed by sharing reserve network resources between the active optical channels.SOLUTION: In an optical network where reserve resources for fault relief are shared between a plurality of optical channels, an elastic reproduction relay device is included which includes a plurality of optical sub-channel identification and reproduction parts for identifying and reproducing signals of optical sub-channels as the reserve resources. In the case where a fault occurs in an active optical channel on the optical network, in the elastic reproduction relay device on a detour route of the optical channel, a signal of the optical channel is reproduced and relayed by a corresponding number of optical sub-channel identification and reproduction parts to a transmission rate of the optical channel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
