PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibrations caused by resonance with a rotational frequency by adjusting an eigen-frequency of a vertical rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A vertical rotary electric machine 100 includes: a rotor 10 including a rotor shaft 11 and a rotor core 12; an upper bearing 31 and a lower bearing 32; a stator 20 including a stator core 21 and a stator coil 22; a frame 41 in which the rotor core 12 and the stator 20 are accommodated and communication openings 41a, 41b and 41c are formed; a cooler cover 53 which is connected to the frame 41 so as to close an opening side surface of the frame 41, forms a sealed space 45 together with the frame 41, an upper bearing bracket 42 and a lower bearing bracket 43, incorporates a cooler 51 and communicates with the frame 41; and a reinforcement member 60 which is provided so as to be held between the frame 41 and the cooler cover 53, becomes a portion forming the sealed space 45 and is spread planarly while including openings corresponding to the communication openings 41a, 41b and 41c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
