PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, even when the absorbent article is laterally deviated during being worn, causing an absorber to quickly absorb the urine without discharging urine laterally by controlling a flow direction in such a manner as to pass the discharged urine along a recessed groove.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes at least a strip of urine inflow recessed groove 22 formed along a longitudinal direction at a skin-side surface. The cross-sectional shape of the recessed groove 22 is formed to satisfy the following conditions. (1) When the depth of a bottom face of the recessed groove is h, a relationship of the depth with a distance S from a bottom edge G of the recessed groove to an upper edge K from which the recess of the recessed groove is started is 1.5h<S. (2) When the bottom-face width of the recessed groove is b, a relationship thereof with the width B of a liquid collection area represented by a distance between both-side upper edges K and K straddling over the recessed groove is B≥3b. (3) When an area represented by a product between the bottom-face width b and the bottom-face depth h of the recessed groove is (a), where the recessed groove is supposed to be a rectangular shape, a relationship thereof with the cross-sectional area A of the recessed groove is A≥2a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
