In the present invention, provided is a polarizing plate which comprises a polarizer having iodine adsorbed and aligned in a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin layer. A phase difference value of the iodine is greater than or equal to 160 nm. A group transmittance Ty is 41-43%, and a polarization degree is greater than or equal to 99.9%. In addition, T_400/T_700, a ratio of a perpendicular transmittance T_400 in a wavelength of 400 nm and a perpendicular transmittance T_700 in a wavelength of 700 nm is greater than or equal to 0.5. |
