The present invention relates to a polyimide-based solution enabling the production of a transparent polyimide-based film which exhibits excellent transmittancy along with high heat resistance and mechanical properties. The polyimide-based solution is composed of: polyimide or a precursor thereof, containing a repeating unit represented by chemical formula 1; and a solvent which has the positive distribution coefficient (LogP value) measured at 25 °C. In chemical formula 1, X is a tetravalent organic group derived from acid dianhydride and having a structure in which a monocyclic or a polycyclic aromatic group, a monocyclic or a polycyclic alicyclic group, or at least two thereof are bonded via a single bond; and Y refers to a divalent organic group which includes an aromatic group, an alicyclic group, or an aliphatic group derived from diamine.
