The method involves cleaning the upper side and the lower side of the wood panel (2) and applying an upper resin layer containing corundum particles to the upper side and a lower resin layer to the lower side of the wood panel. Another upper resin layer containing cellulose is applied to the upper side and another lower resin layer is applied to the lower side of the wood panel. A third upper resin layer containing glass particles is applied to the upper side of the panel. The upper and lower resin layers contain a 60 percent synthetic resin solution. An independent claim is also included for a device for finishing a wood panel.
