PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smooth degree detection device which can suppress lowering of a signal outputted from a photodetector.SOLUTION: A smooth degree detection device 70 has: a light source which radiates an emission ray of light to one surface of a recording medium S during transportation thereof in a transportation path; a photodetector which detects reflectance intensity of a reflected ray of light which is regularly reflected by the one surface of the recording medium S; a housing 75 which holds the light source and the photodetector, and a recording medium guide member 81; and a smooth degree calculation unit which calculates a smooth degree of the recording medium S on the basis of a voltage signal outputted from the photodetector. In the smooth degree detection device, an upstream side mylar 79 and a downstream side mylar 80 which contact the other surface of the recording medium S at tips thereof and push the recording medium S onto the housing 75 and the recording medium guide member 81 are so disposed as to be arranged in a recording medium transportation direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
