PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reader capable of reading both a one-dimensional code and a two-dimensional code in a wide reading range.SOLUTION: The information reader comprises: an imaging device which has a rectangular imaging surface and captures an optical image formed on the imaging surface; a first optical system which forms a first subject image in a predetermined first area in the imaging surface by the first magnification; a second optical system which forms a second subject image in a second area adjacent to the first area in the longitudinal direction of the imaging surface; and a code reading processing unit which reads one of the one-dimensional code and the two-dimensional code from the captured image including the first and second subject images and which, in a case where one of the codes cannot be read, reads the other code from the captured image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
