PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an extra-fine aluminum (Al) alloy wire having high strength and high conductivity and excellent in elongation; an Al alloy stranded wire; a coated electric wire comprising an Al alloy wire; and a wire harness.SOLUTION: There is provided an aluminum alloy wire used for a conductor which comprises, by mass%, 0.03% or more and 1.5% or less of Mg, 0.02% or more and 2.0% or less of Si, 0.1% or more and 1.0% or less in total of at least one element selected from Cu, Fe, Cr, Mn and Zr and the balance of Al and impurities and has a conductivity of 40% IACS or more, a tensile strength of 150 MPa or more, an elongation of 5% or more, a wire diameter of 0.5 mm or less and a maximum crystal grain size of 50 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
