The invention relates to a fastening arrangement for a vehicle, comprising a vehicle body sheet metal part (7) and a U-shaped securing bracket (1) fastened thereto. Said securing bracket has a base (2) with U flanges (3) adjoining thereto, foot portions (5) on the ends of said U flanges forming an angle and engaging under the vehicle body sheet metal part (7) and being particularly welded thereto. The sheet metal part (7), in the clearance between the two U flanges (3) of the securing bracket (1), has recesses (8), which are separate from each other, through which the foot portions (5) of the U flanges (3) extend.
