PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll device with a simple configuration while maintaining performance.SOLUTION: A roll device 1 includes a roll 2 having a shaft 21, a pair of cylindrical collars 3 respectively attached to outer peripheral surfaces 26 of both ends 24 of the shaft 21, a pair of cylindrical static pressure gas bearings 4 respectively supporting both ends 24 of the shaft 21 to which the collars 3 are attached in a radial direction of the shaft 21 under the noncontact state, a pair of circular plates 5 respectively attached to both end surfaces 27 of he shaft 21, a pair of ball plungers 6 respectively supporting both end surfaces 27 of the shaft 21 to which the plates 5 are attached in a thrust direction of the shaft 21, a pair of first housings 7 respectively supporting the static pressure gas bearings 4, and a pair of second housings 8 respectively holding the ball plungers 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
