Disclosed are a transmission control apparatus and a control method thereof. That is, the present invention learns a control value for letting a clutch fastened to a transmission step in a vehicle with an automatic transmission into a sleep state, which is right before completely being released from the transmission step and uses the learned control value for a neutral control to be able to perform a stable neutral control. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a control unit for controlling a clutch; and a learning unit for learning a control value. |
