PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector having simple construction and being convenient and suitable for a self-propelled vacuum cleaner, and a self-propelled vacuum cleaner including the dust collector.SOLUTION: A dust collector includes a dust collection container having an opening and containing dust, an inflow port which allows dust vacuumed from a suction port in a bottom portion of a vacuum cleaner to be flowed through a suction passage into the dust collection container with air, an introduction plate which is located in the neighborhood of the inflow port within the dust collection container, on the extension line of the suction passage, and prevents the air flow having flowed into the dust collection container from directly reaching a filter, a filter part which allows the air having flowed into the dust collection container to be passed through itself to capture dust, and a cover part pivotably supported by the dust collection container with opening/closing allowed so as to cover the filter part and the opening of the dust collection container. The filter part is pivotably supported in the neighborhood of a pivot portion of the cover part in the dust collection container.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
