<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode for achieving a lithium cell with large specific capacity, excellent in discharge characteristics capable of obtaining large current, and with little degradation. <P>SOLUTION: The cathode for the lithium cell is structured of lithium metal oxide being as a cathode active material capable of electrochemically inserting and removing lithium ions, a carbon material of a conductive assistant and a binder material for binding those particles.
