A rock analysing unit reads data from instrumentation that measures the rock surface and bore and produces a three dimensional image to allow an operator to identify information about bore holes (32, figure 3) drilled in a rock bench. The image preferably shows if the bore holes are too close to the rock face such that damage to property or persons might occur after a destination of charge is placed therein. The image may include concentric circles placed around a bore hole, wherein the circles change colour if the distance between the hole and the edge of the rock is too short. The image may show the floor region (33) based on the depth and angle of the bore holes and may also display a cone (figure 4) for checking the alignment of the bore holes. |
