A hydraulic system (100) is provided, the hydraulic system (100) including a hydraulic load (102) defining a first chamber (106) and a second chamber (108). Additionally, the hydraulic system (100) includes a pressure source (114), a fluid storage vessel (112), a load sense line (132), and a spool valve (124). The spool valve (124) fluidly connects the fluid storage vessel (112) to one of the first or second chambers (106, 108) and fluidly connects the pressure source (114) to the other of the first or second chambers (108, 106). A bypass line (138) is also provided defining a flow path between the hydraulic load (102) and the fluid storage vessel (112) that bypasses the spool valve (124). Fluid flow may encounter less resistance through the bypass line (138), such that the hydraulic system may run more efficiently and with a reduced risk for cavitation in the hydraulic load (102). |
