The purpose of the present invention is to inhibit a flash phenomenon during power input into a display device. A display part (38) comprises: an OLED (90); a first power line (74) for applying a first reference electric potential to the cathode of the OLED (90); a second power line (76) for applying a second reference electric potential for allowing the OLED (90) to emit light; a driving TFT (92) for controlling conduction between a source connected to an anode and a drain connected to the second power line (76); a lighting switch (94) for converting the connection and disconnection of the second power line (76) and the drain of the driving TFT (92); and a reset switch (64) for converting the application of a reset electric potential to the drain from a reset power. Before the application of the reference electric potentials to the power lines (74, 76) is initiated, the anode of the OLED (90) is connected to the reset power by turning off the lighting switch (94) and turning on the reset switch (64) and the driving TFT (92). In the situation, the application of the reference electric potentials to the power lines (74, 76) respectively is initiated and the OLED (90) is allowed to emit light.
