adding at least two different agents to the lignin-containing hydrolyzate solution, comprising at least one flocculant agent, in an amount effective for flocculating the hydrolyzate; flocculating the lignin-containing hydrolyzate solution; and forming a cake from the flocculated lignin-containing hydrolyzate solution, having a solids content greater than a solids content of a cake obtained from a flocculated lignin-containing hydrolyzate solution treated with an optimum flocculating concentration of the at least one flocculant alone. |
