Provided is a state control device comprising: an acquisition unit that acquires a state indicator which indicates the state of a target emotion, on the basis of biological information corresponding to the target emotion which is a target-of-guidance emotion that was detected from a guidance subject for which the state of the emotion is guided; and a state control unit that, on the basis of the acquired state indicator and pattern information that is associated with an emotion guidance medium for guiding the state of the target emotion and that indicates the pattern of the temporal change of the state indicator, determines the emotion guidance medium which is used in the guidance of the state of the target emotion so that the state of the target emotion becomes a set prescribed state, and that carries out processing related to the determined emotion guidance medium, thereby controlling the state of the target emotion in the guidance subject. The biological information includes information indicating enzyme detection results.
