PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge which prevents a slide contact member from rotating in conjunction with a spool and minimizes burdens to an engagement part and an engagement receiving part.SOLUTION: A tape reel device includes: a cartridge case 20 which stores a spool 22b, around which an ink ribbon 22a is wound, so that the spool 22b may rotate; and brake means 3 which provides back tension to the ink ribbon 22a fed by the spool 22b. The brake means 3 includes: a slide contact member 35 which slidably contacts with an end surface of the spool 22b; a coil spring 36 which biases the slide contact member 35 in an axial direction of the spool 22b; and rotation regulation means 37 which regulates rotation of the slide contact member 35. The rotation regulation member 37 includes: an engagement part 43 which is provided protruding so as to be inserted into the slide contact member 35; and an engagement receiving part 44 which is provided on an inner peripheral surface of the slide contact member 35 protruding therefrom and is engaged with the engagement part in a rotation direction of the spool 22b. |
