A laundry treatment apparatus, comprising: a cabinet having a laundry opening formed therein; a laundry receiving device provided in the cabinet and configured to receive laundry therein through the laundry opening formed in the cabinet; a hot air supply device, including: a circulation passage configured to guide air discharged from the laundry receiving device and to resupply the air back into the laundry receiving device;a heat exchanger provided in the circulation passage; anda blower configured to circulate air from an interior of the laundry receiving device through the circulation passage and back into the laundry receiving device; a filter device positioned in the circulation passage to filter air flowing to the heat exchanger, wherein the filter device is removable from the circulation passage through a corresponding portion of the cabinet; a filter separation/coupling passage that penetrates the cabinet; and a filter guide that connects the filter separation/coupling passage and the circulation passage, wherein the filter guide is configured to guide the filter device into and out of the circulation passage, and wherein the filter separation/coupling passage is closed when the filter device is inserted into the circulation passage, and the filter separation/coupling passage is opened when the filter device is removed from the circulation passage.
