PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cost effective system which protects communication between a client and a server and uses elliptic curve cryptography and certificateless public key cryptography techniques.SOLUTION: The system includes a secret key generation means which generates a secret key of m-bits on the basis of the elliptic curve Diffie-Hellman algorithm. The system further includes a session key generation means which makes use of the secret key and the elliptic curve Diffie-Hellman algorithm to generate a session key. The generated session key is used to encrypt communication and realize secure, cost effective communication between a client and a server.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
