PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for forming a functional layer, with which high flexibility is obtained in a pattern shape of a functional layer to be formed and a functional layer can be produced in a short time with high yield.SOLUTION: A mold 1 of the present invention includes: a mold substrate 2 made of a light-transmitting material and having a light incident surface and a contact surface opposing to each other; a recess 3 for a functional layer, which is disposed on the contact surface and functions as a liquid accommodation part 9 for a functional layer to accommodate a liquid containing a material for forming a functional layer; a liquid inlet 5 for introducing a liquid to the liquid accommodation part 9 for a functional layer; and a light-shielding part disposed at a position in a region between a bottom of the recess 3 for a functional layer and the light incident surface of the mold substrate 2, the position overlapping a part of the recess 3 for a functional layer when viewed in the normal direction of the light incident surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
