The present invention relates to a communication apparatus, a control method thereof, a recording medium for recording program for executing the control method, an application saved in the recording medium for executing the control method being combined with hardware. The control method executed by the communication terminal comprises the following steps of: storing a first reference value and a second reference value; comparing a power level of the received communication signal and the first reference value; maintaining a service-on-state if the power level of the received communication signal is equal to or higher than the first reference value according to the comparison result, and searching a valid different communication frequency if the power level of the received communication signal is equal to or smaller than the first reference value; comparing the power level of the received communication signal with the second reference value if the valid different communication frequency is not searched; and maintaining a service-on-state if the power level of the received communication signal is equal to or higher than the second reference value according to the comparison result, and performing a service-off-processing if the power level of the received communication signal is equal to or smaller than the second reference value. The present invention produces an effect of widening a communication service width as much as the difference between the first reference value defined by a base station and the second reference value predetermined in the communication terminal.
