FIELD: measurement equipment.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measurement equipment, in particular, to strength measurement facilities. The device comprises a rock sample, including the first surface, an acoustic sensor, an indentor and a load. The end of the indentor is in contact with the rock sample. The end contains cobalt with concentration in the range from six percent to twenty percent. The load is applied to the indentor, which transmits this load to the first surface. At the same time the load increases to peak value, then is maintained during the time period and is reduced with the reduction rate, which is higher than speed of load increase. The acoustic sensor detects acoustic signals arising in the sample. Further signals of acoustic emission arrive to a data recording unit. On the basis of collected data they detect background points, points of a possible acoustic event, interpolate the curve of background noise function, using background points, detect points of actual acoustic events, using points of possible acoustic events and the curve of background noise function, calculate the area of the actual acoustic event, detect the sample strength.EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurements.31 cl, 24 dwg |
