A medical plug for stomas comprises a cap 1 and an elongate flexible line 3. The line comprises a number of pre-formed discrete severance points 4 spaced apart along the length of the line. The line 3 may have a circular cross-section and the severance points 3 may be indentations which may extend around the entire circumference providing a reduced diameter. The severance points 4 may be at regular intervals. The cap 1 may comprise a tab 2 and a cut-out 9, 10 may be either side of the tab 2. The thickness of the cap 1 may be less than the width of the line 3. The plug may incorporate annular recesses providing longitudinal elasticity. The severance points 4 may have rounded upper edges 7, 8. The severance points 4 cause the line 3 to have a variable length. |
