<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw-away type hob that can improve attachment/detachment workability and attachment rigidity of an insert, and increase the flexibility in arrangement of the insert. <P>SOLUTION: The throw-away type hob 1 is structured such that disk-like division hobs 11, 12 detachably mounted with inserts 31 are superposed on worms 24 spirally formed in an outer peripheral part of a shaft part 21, end faces 24a of the worms 24 between the adjacent division hobs 11, 12 are butted to each other, and thereby the division hobs 11, 12 are assembled as a multiwinding hob, wherein the mounting interval of the inserts 31 in the hob rotating direction is set at an angle that cannot equally divide 360°; and the winding number of the worm 24 is set to less than one so that the end faces 24a of the worm 24 are arranged on the upstream side in the hob rotating direction relative to the middle position between the inserts 31 adjacent to each other in the hob rotating direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
