The present invention relates to a method of controlling a PTC heater of a diesel hybrid vehicle during cold starting, and more specifically, to a method of controlling a PTC heater of a diesel hybrid vehicle during cold starting which can prevent a lack of heating by a failure to supply hot air in an air conditioner in a hybrid driving mode in a winter season. The method of controlling a PTC heater of a diesel hybrid vehicle during cold starting comprises: an engine off command step where an HCU transmits an engine off command to an ECU while driving in a hybrid mode; an IG ON command step where the HCU periodically transmits an IG ON command to the ECU; a step where the ECU performs IG ON, inputs engine condition information, and then determines; a PTC heater operating condition determining step of determining whether the ECU satisfies a PTC heater operating condition; a PTC heater control condition transmitting step of operating a PTC heater and transmitting a PTC heater control condition to the HCU from the ECU if the ECU satisfies the PTC heater operating condition; an HCU standby mode entering step where the HCU enters a standby mode while the PTC heater is controlled by the ECU; and a PTC heater control escape condition determining step of determining whether a PTC heater operation control escape condition is satisfied while the ECU periodically transmits PTC heater control information. |
